The Good, the bad, and…the good.

Release date changed!

Release date changed!

Hello everyone,

First, before we get to the good stuff, I have some bad news. I will need to push back the release date for Ferran’s Map probably to October. I am not sure of the new release date yet. My editing team is hard at work but looks like we’ll be making more major changes to the manuscript. All for the betterment of the story, of course. This next book in The Cat’s Eye Chronicles will need a bit more work before it hits its juicy, flavorful fruition. (Try saying that 5x fast haha.)

I strongly feel this next installment is going to be the best in the series. I am incredibly excited to release it–when it’s deliciously ready.

This change of release date might even be considered appropriate….if we account for the fact that Ferran’s Map takes place around the winter solstice festival…and now the release date will be a bit closer to winter (at least, in the Northern hemisphere.) A snowy read for the autumn season?

Writing a book is a lot like remodeling a house. You start of with a solid plan, and as you go, you run into complications, hazardous waste tucked behind walls or under floors, bad wiring, old plumbing….You get the gist. Sometimes a project takes longer than we originally expect.

The Good News! Free Cat’s Eye Chronicles Wallpaper, made just for you!

As a peace offering, I have taken a few hours out of my day to create a Crash and Sora wallpaper for all of you! Save it to your computer, share it on Pinterest, put it on your Facebook–whatever you want. I have three different sizes for different screen resolutions. Please download the wallpaper that fits your monitor. In the background you’ll see the City of Crowns and a glimpse of the Temple of the North Wind. Lots to look forward to in Ferran’s Map. 😉

The bloodmage Volcrian is dead, but a new enemy lurks in the shadows. The Shade, a fanatical cult of demonic assassins, is trying to resurrect the Dark God and unleash His power back into the world. In their wake, a deadly plague is spreading across the land.

Sora and her companions are the only ones who know of the plague’s true source. As the disease spreads, Sora must journey to the City of Crowns to retrieve The Book of the Named, her only hope of stopping The Shade. She and her companions arrive just in time for the winter solstice festival, a notorious two-weeks of fine wines, grand parties and legendary debauchery. Sora must don the guise of a noblewoman and infiltrate the First Tier nobility to stop The Shade before it’s too late.

Meanwhile, the assassin Crash is confronted by a ghost from his past. As he uncovers more of the Shade’s plot, he finds himself face-to-face with his old Grandmaster, the one who trained him—and who he betrayed. Can Crash lay to rest his past, or will he succumb to his inner demon and rejoin the man who once made him a killer?

Volcrian’s Hunt – Book Trailer!

Posted by on Jan 3, 2013 in Uncategorized | 2 comments

Hey All! Dorian here,

I’ve smuggled this book trailer out of the Author’s closet. Get ready for Volcrian’s Hunt! (Book III in The Cat’s Eye Chronicles.) To be released this Summer.

I’ve been sworn to secrecy… but… I hear that the third book in the Chronicles will take place far overseas, on a series of islands called The Lost Isles. The Lost Isles are a pretty mysterious place. Four hundred years ago, they were actually the Floating Island of Arrobourne, home to the Harpy race.

They say that beneath the islands are giant, underwater caverns that connect one island to the next. They’re rife with monsters and magic! Looks like Sora and her crew are heading straight for them….
